Ahmed Binesmael joined The Health Foundation in January 2024 as a Senior Improvement Analyst, focusing on major research projects centred around health technology, data use, and innovation.  Previously he served as an Economic Analyst and Senior Policy Adviser at the British Medical Association (BMA), where he supported analysis of workforce and health system trends. 

At The Health Foundation, Ahmed applies his expertise in mixed‑methods research and evaluation to help organisations overcome barriers to adopting new technologies and improving outcomes. He has contributed to work on digital health adoption and inclusive design, including the publication on “Making Health Tech Work for Everyone.” 

Combining analytical rigour with a passion for improvement, Ahmed is dedicated to ensuring that innovation in healthcare translates into real‑world benefit—particularly for underserved populations.
