Ahmed Mahdi

Dr Ahmed Mahdi is Clinical Director and Emergency Medicine Consultant at St George’s Emergency Department in London, part of St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Passionate about healthcare innovation and removing barriers to care, Ahmed focuses on how technology can support clinicians, improve workflows and enhance the delivery of emergency care.

He is the project lead for the first UK pilot of AI ambient voice technology in an emergency department, exploring how artificial intelligence can reduce the administrative burden on clinicians and support more efficient, patient-centred care.

Ahmed combines frontline clinical experience with a strong interest in digital transformation and the practical implementation of emerging technologies in healthcare. His work on innovation in emergency medicine has also contributed to research published as a Lancet preprint.
