Asra Ahmed
Asra Ahmed is Head of Education and Development at Diabesties, a foundation NGO in Saudi Arabia dedicated to supporting individuals living with diabetes through education, advocacy, and community engagement. In her role, she leads the design and delivery of impactful education programmes that empower patients and families to better manage chronic conditions and improve quality of life.
With over three decades of experience in education and leadership, Asra brings a unique perspective that bridges health education and academic development. She has been actively involved in student support services at The British International School of Jeddah since 2014, contributing to initiatives that help students overcome learning challenges and reach their full potential.
Earlier in her career, Asra held leadership roles including Kindergarten Principal at Advanced Generation School and founder of Up and Away Kindergarten, which she successfully led for nearly 20 years. Her work has consistently focused on fostering growth, development, and long-term success through high-quality early years education.
Asra is passionate about education as a tool for empowerment—whether in the classroom or in healthcare. Her work at Diabesties reflects a commitment to building informed, resilient communities and advancing patient-centred approaches to chronic disease management.
