Ellie is passionate about transforming healthcare through safe and effective use of AI technology.

She is a Consultant Nephrologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King's College London. She has held leadership roles in clinical governance and national standards at the British Transplant Society and has served as the principal investigator for several national and international research studies. She holds an NIHR Senior Clinical and Practitioner Research Award. 

As Clinician-in-Residence at Tortus AI, she evaluated ambient AI tools and contributed to the development of a safety framework. Currently, as an AI Scientist at Newton's Tree, she designs and leads studies to assess the real-world safety and performance of AI tools, generating clinical evidence and insights essential for responsible AI adoption in healthcare.
