Dr Farnaz Nickpour is Reader in Inclusive Design & Human-Centred Innovation at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Inclusionaries Lab for Design Research. A leading voice in “Design in the Edges,” she has over 15 years’ experience pioneering inclusive and human-centred approaches across healthcare, mobility, and the public sector, including the NHS.

Her award-winning research explores unmet needs and excluded populations through cross-sector collaborations in med-tech, palliative care, and child health technology. Farnaz also leads the Civic Health Innovation Labs in Health and Care Systems, holds advisory roles across public and private sectors, and is External Examiner at the Royal College of Art and University of Brighton.
