Graham Walsh
Mr Graham Walsh is both a Specialist Knee Surgeon working at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust and also the Medical Director at Health Innovation Yorkshire and Humber.
Graham studied medicine at University College Medical School in London before moving back to his native Yorkshire where he has been a Consultant Knee Surgeon at Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust (CHFT) since 2009. He continues to work clinically and works with national teams, to improve joint arthroplasty pathways. Clinically his team has won many healthcare awards for their pathway transformation work.
He joined the HIYH having been an Associate Medical Director at CHFT where he was also the Chief Clinical Information Officer overseeing digital transformation and innovation. He is a strong advocate for the use of technology in healthcare seeing it as an enabler to improve patient care and outcomes and recognises the importance of the patient’s involvement with transformation.
He also has as a clinical advisory role to NHSE including the FDP and Interoperability groups and works with both industry and Independent healthcare organisations.
