Dr Jackie Maybin is Programme Director at Wellcome Leap and Reader & Honorary Consultant Gynaecologist at the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian. She leads a specialist menstrual disorders service and her research focuses on abnormal uterine bleeding, exploring the roles of hypoxia and inflammation to drive new treatments.
Jackie also directs the Missed Vital Sign Programme at Wellcome Leap, tackling global health challenges through innovation, and chairs Scotland’s National Menstrual Clinical Network.
