Jocalyn Clark

International Editor, The BMJ

Dr Jocalyn Clark is International Editor of The BMJ, where she leads strategy to globalise the journal's content, contributors, and coverage. Previously she was an Executive Editor of The Lancet; Executive Editor at icddr,b in Dhaka, Bangladesh; and Senior Editor at PLOS Medicine. She is an advisor to Global Health 50/50, WomenLift Health, and (w)Health Alliance, and has been a resident fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, the Brocher Foundation, and Salzburg Global.

Jocalyn is an adjunct professor of medicine, University of Toronto, and honorary associate professor at the Institute for Global Health at University College London, and an elected fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences in recognition of her scholarship and leadership in advancing gender equity, the social and political contexts of health, and medical publishing.
