Liam Loftus
Liam is a newly-qualified GP based in Cambridge. He recently completed the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow Scheme, spending a year working with the Primary Care Team at NHS England. He has previously co-led The Big GP Consultation and Next Generation GP.
Liam’s desire is to take a step back from his consulting room and consider how we can tackle health inequalities at all levels of the system; locally, regionally and nationally. In his role at the Health Equity Evidence Centre, Liam focusses on empowering policymakers and practitioners with the insights required to make evidence-informed decisions when tackling health inequalities. He also works for Cambridge City Foodbank, with a focus on introducing innovate models that support visitors with financial maximisation, skills development, and instilling a sense of local community, all which aim to prevent people from needing to use food banks in the first place.
