Liz Avital serves as the Senior Partnership Manager at The BMJ Group, bringing over 20 years of experience in global health and social care development. Her career has been dedicated to advancing patient care and developing robust, sustainable healthcare infrastructures. ​

In her current role, Liz focuses on fostering collaborations that enhance healthcare delivery and policy. She has a strong track record in policy development, program management, and leadership, delivering results at global levels and effecting measurable changes at national and community levels. ​

Liz holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, where she researched the cultural translation and adaptation of evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice. Her academic work reflects her keen interest in identifying and overcoming barriers to successful cultural translation and implementation, informing future cross-cultural knowledge translation efforts. ​

Beyond her professional endeavours, Liz has served as the chair of a primary school board of governors since September 2017, following five years as vice-chair and governor, demonstrating her commitment to community engagement and leadership. ​
