Louise Thompson

Founder and CEO, Myfolks Ltd

Louise Thompson is the Founder and CEO of Myfolks Ltd, a pioneering app that connects elderly individuals needing support at home with qualified, DBS-checked assistants, affectionately known as 'Myfolksers'. The platform aims to combat social isolation and promote wellness among the aging population by offering practical and compassionate support.

Louise's inspiration for Myfolks stemmed from her personal experiences with her elderly parents, who often required assistance with daily tasks. Recognizing a gap in the availability of immediate, trustworthy support, she developed Myfolks to provide on-demand assistance, ranging from companionship to help with household chores.

Before founding Myfolks, Louise amassed over 25 years of experience in legal and commercial roles within global tech companies, including BT, SAP, Sopra Steria, and De La Rue. She holds a law degree, an MSc, and is a CEDR-accredited mediator. Her extensive background has equipped her with a deep understanding of technology, ethics, and regulation, which she now applies to her entrepreneurial ventures.

Louise is also a participant in the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, reflecting her commitment to integrating innovative solutions within the healthcare sector.

Through Myfolks, Louise aims to revolutionize social health by leveraging technology to foster human connections, thereby enhancing the quality of life for the elderly and addressing the challenges posed by social isolation.
