Michael Wright leads the innovation agenda at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, driving the integration of cutting‑edge technologies into healthcare delivery. As Head of Innovation, he spearheads CW Innovation—a partnership between the Trust and CW+—working alongside accelerators like DigitalHealth.London to fast‑track technology into patient care. 

Before his current role, Michael held senior positions in UK fintech and engineering, including Head of Engineering at Allica Bank and Titanbay, and Senior Engineering Manager at MrQ.com. His background spans building scalable microservices, micro‑frontends, and high‑performing distributed teams. 

Michael’s recent work at Chelsea & Westminster includes leading the deployment of AI‑powered dermatology triage in partnership with Skin Analytics—enabling the Trust to streamline urgent skin‑cancer referrals, discharge a significant proportion of cases without a consultant review, and reduce clinician burden via digital workflows. 

With experience spanning NHS frontline care and commercial technology, Michael brings a unique combination of clinical insight, digital engineering, and leadership of innovation ecosystems to the healthcare sector—helping transform how services operate and how patients experience care.
