Dr. Osama Suwar is a GP Registrar and Clinical AI Fellow at Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex, at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into primary care to enhance patient access, reduce clinician workload, and promote health equity. His work focuses on evaluating AI-enhanced triage systems, such as Rapid Health’s Smart Triage, which has demonstrated significant improvements in patient waiting times and appointment scheduling efficiency.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Suwar is actively involved in developing responsible AI frameworks and mapping out AI champions to ensure ethical and patient-centred adoption of technology in healthcare. He has contributed to initiatives like MedAssist GPT, an AI-powered learning tool integrating NICE guidelines to support safer prescribing and clinical training.
