Peta Fisher is the Area Director of Nursing and Midwifery at South Metropolitan Health Service in Western Australia. She is an experienced executive leader with a strong focus on system-wide reform, workforce strategy and service innovation.

She has led major transformation initiatives including workforce reform, digital health integration and quality improvement, and plays a key role in advancing the SMHS improvement method in partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute. Her work delivers improved patient outcomes and staff experience, while strengthening workforce sustainability and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Peta holds adjunct associate professorial appointments and is an active Chief Investigator in nursing and midwifery research.
