Sheila Nainan Myatra
Dr. Sheila Nainan Myatra, MD, FCCM, FICCM, is a distinguished Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India, where she has served for over 25 years. She holds a professorship at the Homi Bhabha National Institute University.**
In her leadership roles, Dr. Myatra serves as the President of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and chairs the Intensive & Critical Care Medicine Committee of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA). She is the Immediate Past President of the All India Difficult Airway Association (AIDAA).**
Her research interests encompass hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, and sepsis. Notably, she developed the "tidal volume challenge," a novel test in hemodynamic monitoring.** Dr. Myatra has also led the development of guidelines for tracheal intubation in the ICU and unanticipated difficult tracheal intubation in adults.**
