Shobha Nagarathanam

Dr Shobha Nagarathanam is a medical professional with experience in clinical practice, medical research and healthcare education across the UK and Malaysia.

A graduate of Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, where she obtained her MBBS with Honours and Distinction, Shobha has pursued a career combining frontline clinical experience with an interest in academic medicine and professional development. She holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).

Her academic contributions include published research exploring oxidative stress, DNA damage and inflammation in a cellular model of Parkinson’s disease, reflecting her interest in advancing medical knowledge through scientific research.

With an international educational background and experience within the UK healthcare system, Shobha brings a perspective that combines clinical practice, research and medical education.
