Dr. Stefan Buttigieg is a Specialist in Public Health Medicine at Malta's Ministry for Health and Active Ageing, where he also serves as the Manager of the National Contact Point for eHealth. His work focuses on integrating digital health solutions to enhance healthcare delivery.​

In addition to his governmental role, Dr. Buttigieg lectures at the University of Malta on Digital Health, Social Media in Healthcare, and Digital Therapeutics. He is the Vice-President of the European Public Health Association's (EUPHA) Section on Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence, advocating for equitable access to digital health and AI technologies.​

An active contributor to the digital health community, Dr. Buttigieg has delivered over 50 keynote speeches and hosts "The Digital Health Voice" podcast, discussing global digital health trends. His mission is to ensure that digital health innovations are inclusive, leaving no one behind.​

Through his multifaceted roles, Dr. Buttigieg continues to drive advancements in public health by leveraging digital technologies to improve health outcomes.
