Stephen Morris

RAND Professor of Health Services Research , University of Cambridge

Stephen Morris is RAND Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Cambridge and Co-Director of the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research. He is also Director of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East of England and a Professorial Fellow at Murray Edwards College.

An experienced health services researcher and health economist, Stephen’s research explores how economic evidence can inform healthcare policy, improve services and support better patient outcomes. His research interests span the coordination of care for people with rare diseases, the economics of obesity, child maltreatment, domestic violence and abuse, and improving uptake of pulmonary rehabilitation.

Stephen has extensive expertise in econometric analysis of large datasets and cost-effectiveness modelling. He has authored more than 290 research papers and two textbooks, contributing a substantial body of evidence to health economics and health services research.
