Academic Rheumatology Trainee, NHS

Dr Yuva Ravindran is an Academic Rheumatology Trainee and Specialty Trainee in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine, currently based at Royal Stoke University Hospital in the West Midlands. Her interests span clinical medicine, healthcare leadership, quality improvement and developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Alongside her clinical and academic work, Yuva is General Secretary of the Aspiring Leaders in Healthcare Network (ALiHN) and a member of the Next Generation Advisory Panel. Through these roles, she works to empower early-career healthcare professionals to develop their leadership skills, contribute to innovation and play an active role in improving healthcare systems.

Yuva has held leadership and representative roles within professional organisations including the British Medical Association. Her work has included advocating for international medical graduates and exploring ways to improve the wellbeing and working experience of resident doctors.

She has also contributed to international discussions on healthcare leadership and quality improvement, sharing the experiences of early-career professionals and highlighting the value of empowering frontline staff to lead continuous improvement.

Bringing together frontline clinical experience, academic research and leadership, Yuva is particularly passionate about ensuring early-career healthcare professionals have the skills, opportunities and support to help shape the future of healthcare.
